STEMCELL Technologies and Immudex Launch New Protocol for Rapid and Gentle Enrichment of Antigen-Specific T Cells

Vancouver, Canada & Copenhagen, Denmark — STEMCELL Technologies and Immudex are proud to announce the launch of a new protocol that combines the power of the EasySep™ Release positive selection platform with Immudex’s Dextramer® reagents, enabling researchers to isolate rare antigen-specific T cells, MAIT cells and iNKT cells with unprecedented ease, speed, and purity.

This innovative method offers a compelling alternative to traditional fluorescence-activated cell sorting (FACS), which is often costly, time-consuming, and technically demanding.

The new EasySep™ Release Dextramer® protocol is:

EASY & EFFICIENT

Isolate antigen-specific T cells in as little as 45 minutes with minimal hands-on time. The streamlined workflow is ideal for labs seeking high-throughput, reproducible results without the need for sterile cell sorting equipment.

PARTICLE-FREE & GENTLE

The protocol enables high-purity, particle-free enrichment of target T cells, making them immediately suitable for downstream applications. The gentle enrichment process is designed to avoid stress to the cells, perturbations of phenotype and minimize loss of fragile cells.

COMPATIBLE

Enriched cells are ideal for downstream applications including flow cytometry, functional assays, single-cell analysis, and TCR discovery workflows. Post-enrichment, Dextramer® reagents can be used to verify the percentage of target cells, adding a layer of confidence and precision to your analysis.

This joint protocol empowers immunology and cell therapy researchers to accelerate discovery while maintaining the highest standards of cell quality and specificity.

“This collaboration brings together two best-in-class technologies to streamline a complex and critical step in immunology research, allowing scientists to optimize their time while yielding consistent results,” said Dr. Sharon Louis, Senior Vice President, Research and Development, STEMCELL. “As Scientists Helping Scientists, we are proud to release this new protocol in partnership with Immudex to help researchers gain efficiencies without compromising quality so that they can make discoveries with greater acceleration and confidence.”

“By pairing Immudex’s Dextramer® reagents with STEMCELL’s EasySep™ Release system, researchers gain both precision and flexibility,” added Henrik Pfundheller, CCO of Immudex.
