SOLON, Ohio–Greg S. Shaw, Ph.D., has joined Swagelok Company as director, technology development. In this role, Shaw leads technology development within corporate engineering and is responsible for implementing a technology assessment and development methodology for the organization.

Prior to joining Swagelok, Shaw led product and technology development and commercialization initiatives for sensors, sensor systems, and sensor platforms at Orbital Research Inc. Previously, he held positions in technology and marketing at ELTECH Systems Corp. and served as an adjunct instructor of engineering and management at Case Western Reserve University.

Shaw is a graduate of Case Western Reserve University, where he earned a B.S. in metallurgy and materials science, as well as both an M.S. and a Ph.D. in materials science and engineering. He is a member of ASM International and serves on the Board of Trustees for The Agnon School.
