TAP Strengthens its European Sales and Support Team With Two New Distributors and a New Sales Manager in Europe

The Automation Partnership (TAP), a world leader in the design and development of innovative automation for life science applications, today announced it is significantly expanding its European marketing and support team by appointing two new European distributors and a new Sales Manager in Germany.

The two new distributors, Applikon Biotechnology in the Netherlands and Labtech in France are both experts in the fields of bioprocessing and cell culture, and have established reputations for providing outstanding technical service. Under the terms of the distribution agreements, Applikon Biotechnology and Labtech will market and support TAP’s advanced micro bioreactor system (ambr™) and Fill-It™, TAP’s automated dispensing system to researchers in the Benelux region and France respectively.

The new German Sales Manager, Dr Wolfgang Kusser, is an experienced key account manager with a Ph.D.in Genetics and Microbiology. He joins TAP from Invitrogen Germany, where he was a senior R&D scientist before joining their sales team in 2006. Based in Germany, Dr Kusser will provide local expertise, supporting the full range of TAP’s cell processing products including CompacT SelecT™, TAP’s automated cell culture system, as well as ambr and Fill-It.

Phillip Sefton, TAP’s Commercial Director stated: “TAP’s cell processing product ranges are proving very successful in the UK and US and we wanted to offer scientists in Northern Europe additional local access to our cutting-edge automation. We have employed a highly experienced bioprocess specialist in Germany and two new distributors that specialise in bioreactor and cell culture products. This will provide our European customers with applications and technical support in their native languages, enabling them to further appreciate how the ambr and Fill-It technologies will improve their productivity, as well as the quality of their research.”
