Teledyne LABS and Delfin Technologies collaborate to bring savings and value to mutual diffusion customers
CHATSWORTH, California, United States — Teledyne LABS, a United States producer of scientific laboratory instruments used worldwide in research, development and quality control, and Delfin Technologies, a Kuopio, Finland, company and world leader in portable skin research instruments, are collaborating to bring value and cost reductions to the pharmaceutical, cosmetics, academic research and development communities performing skin permeation tests.
Barrier integrity tests are crucial in in-vitro permeation testing (IVPT) to assess the integrity of the skin barrier. This is typically done by measuring parameters such as trans-epidermal water loss (TEWL). TEWL refers to the amount of water that passes through the epidermis and evaporates from the skin surface. It serves as a valuable indicator of skin barrier function.
Under the terms of the collaboration, Teledyne LABS will give a 5 percent discount on its Teledyne Hanson brand of diffusion cell systems to all Delfin Technologies customers. Delfin Technologies will give a 10 percent discount on their TEWL device, the VapoMeter, to all Teledyne Hanson diffusion customers. The offer is extended through the end of 2025.
