Los Angeles, CA – Teledyne Technologies has acquired Advanced Pollution Instrumentation (API), which develops and manufactures instruments for monitoring air-borne pollutants. API will join Teledyne Instruments division, part of Teledyne’s Electronic and Communications business segment, and change its name to Teledyne Advanced Pollution Instrumentation. The companies stated that they expect synergies from the partnership and to increase the use of Teledyne’s air quality monitoring technologies in environmental markets. In fiscal year 2001, Teledyne Advanced Pollution Instrumentation recorded sales of $16.3 million.
