Teledyne Tekmar adds Total Nitrogen option to Combustion TOC Analyzer

With this option, the Lotix TOC Combustion Analyzer is now capable of analyzing for Total Nitrogen (TN).

Mason, OH – Teledyne Tekmar introduces a new option for the Lotix TOC Combustion Analyzer, the TN Module. The release of the TN Module follows in line with the LSS Boat, which was introduced in 2016, allowing the Lotix to analyze solid samples.  Total Organic Carbon and Total nitrogen samples can be analyzed at the same time.

”Because many applications require both TOC and TN analysis, we designed it so the TN Module will connect right up to the Lotix Combustion Analyzer” said Joy Osborne, TOC Product Line Manager for Teledyne Tekmar.  “This compact module will allow laboratories to measure TN simultaneously with TOC while using a ChemiLuminescene Detector in connection with a Non-Dispersive Infrared Detector in order to meet the following applications: EB-12260, DIN-EN-ISO 11905-2, EPA 415.1 and 9060A, Standard Method 5310B, ASTM D2579, ISO 8245, AOAC 973.47, USP 643.”

The Lotix TOC Combustion Analyzer with the TN options is now capable of performing the following analysis in samples:

  • Total Nitrogen (TN)
  • Total Nitrogen with Total Organic Carbon (TN+TOC)
  • Total Nitrogen with Total Carbon (TN+TC)

Here are just a few of the benefits the Lotix TN Module can provide:

  • Simultaneous carbon and nitrogen real time viewing
  • Low cost of ownership due to having very few consumable parts
  • No changes required shifting from TOC analysis to TN analysis
  • Easy installation and add-on to the Lotix
