The Automation Partnership and AVISO Sign Second Distribution Agreement

TAP to Exclusively Market CellCelector™ in the UK and Ireland

The Automation Partnership (TAP), a world leader in the design and development of innovative automation for life science applications, today announced it has entered into a second distribution agreement with AVISO GmbH, a major German manufacturer of automation for the stem cell market. Under the terms of this new agreement, TAP will supply CellCelector™, AVISO’s unique automated stem cell picker within the UK and Ireland and will continue to service this product in the USA and Canada under the terms of its previous distribution agreement.

With the new agreement, TAP will market AVISO’s patented CellCelector stem cell picker. This non-invasive system automates selection and harvesting of a variety of murine and human stem cells, allowing scientists in the UK and Ireland to reduce the time and costs of this laborious manual process. Additionally, by accessing CellCelector’s technology, researchers can standardise the quality of cells and fully document their work with life-like images of the cells prior to and post harvesting.

Phillip Sefton, TAP’s Commercial Director states: “TAP has a dominant position in the UK automated cell culture market with installations of our CompacT SelecT in all the key pharma and biotech companies, as well as major academic institutes. Many of these scientists need a robust, reliable automated stem cell picker and we are delighted to be partnering with AVISO again to offer exclusive access to the time saving and quality benefits the unrivalled CellCelector technology will bring to their research.”
