Thermo Fisher Scientific Launches Orion Dual Star Benchtop Meter
MUNICH, Germany (April 1, 2008) – Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc., the world leader in serving science, today launched its new Thermo Scientific Orion Dual Star Meter. The new benchtop meter features dual inputs, an informative display and an easy-to-follow interface, all designed to make it easier to take simultaneous pH/ISE readings from a single sample. The new meter is ideal for wastewater labs that require quick and easy measurements of pH and ammonia and for food labs that routinely measure pH and sodium levels simultaneously. The new Orion Dual Star Meter will be showcased at the Thermo Scientific booth 105/204, Hall B1 at Analytica 2008, being held in Munich, Germany, from April 1-4.
Benefits of the Orion Dual Star Meter include:
Greater productivity – Two individual BNC electrode inputs feature separate ATC inputs.
Ease of operation – EZ Startup™ ensures no manual is needed to begin taking measurements, and shortcut keys provide quick access to the most commonly used features.
Multilingual accessibility – Five language options include English, Spanish, German, French and Italian.
Intuitive display – Results can be shown individually or simultaneously and also include electrode and meter status information.
Faster, more precise measurement – The meter enables users to save up to 10 methods, along with the related calibration sets, to minimize errors and reduce unnecessary and time-consuming steps.
The Orion Dual Star meter is available in three packages and is launching with special 2008 introductory pricing. The basic meter package (2115000) comes with an electrode stand, ATC probe, universal power adapter and user guide. The meter and electrode set (2115101) adds the 8102BNUWP Orion ROSS Ultra® pH electrode to the components of the basic package. The third, most complete, package is the meter kit (2115001), which includes all the items of the electrode set plus an ORION ROSS electrode storage solution and one pint each of pH 4, 7 and 10 buffers.
The Orion Dual Star Meter replaces the Orion 525A+, 720A+ and 920A+ meters. A listing of discontinued part numbers along with a cross-reference to the new Orion Dual Star part numbers will be available.
