Thermo Fisher Scientific Unveils New Water Analysis Products
New Meters and Electrodes Deliver Improved Efficiency and Increased Productivity
MUNICH — Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc., the world leader in serving science, today announced the availability of several new water analysis products, including Thermo Scientific Orion meters and ROSS electrodes that provide increased efficiency and productivity. The company will showcase its selection of new water analysis products at Thermo Scientific booth 101 in Hall B1 during Analytica 2010, being held March 23-26, in Munich, Germany.
The company is introducing the Thermo Scientific Orion RDO BOD STAR bench meter and probe for EPA-approved, stir-free, optical dissolved oxygen measurements. Its BOD system utilizes luminescence technology with the advantages of no warm-up time, no membranes, no solutions and no need for stirring. The new Orion RDO BOD STAR meter offers high accuracy and convenient measurements.
Also being exhibited is the new Thermo Scientific Orion STAR LogR meter, which can take accurate temperature-compensated pH measurements without requiring a separate temperature probe. Another meter on display from the Orion family is the Thermo Scientific Orion AQUAfast AQ3700, the latest addition to the colorimetry line. It generates six wavelengths from a long-life light-emitting diode (LED) to support more than 70 pre-programmed methods. The AQ3700 is an IP-67 waterproof portable meter that offers liquid, powder and tablet test options.
The new line of Eutech 700 and 2700 pH meters for measuring conductivity, ion selective electrode (ISE), dissolved oxygen and pH/conductivity is also on display at Analytica. The 700 series of meters offers a simple, affordable solution for accurate water testing while the 2700 series of meters provides value via advanced features and an intuitive user interface for advanced applications.
The new Thermo Scientific DataStick system will also be displayed, providing simple and flexible on-line control of pH, oxygen reduction potential (ORP), conductivity, resistance and oxygen turbidity. The new solution is designed to simplify analytical measurements with plug and play sensors that connect directly to PLCs, HMIs and PC-based SCADA systems.
Finally, the new Thermo Scientific ROSS Ultra Triodes are the latest addition to the company’s premium line of ROSS® pH electrodes. The new glass triodes offer the convenience of being able to perform both pH and temperature measurements with one electrode. Ideal for precise measurements, the ROSS Ultra® Triode offers optimum performance by delivering fast, accurate readings with ease of use.
