ViroStat, Inc, New Monoclonal Antibodies to E.coli O157

E. coli O157 is an enterohemorrhagic food borne pathogen. It causes disease in humans due to the toxins it secretes.

The O157 serotype is the most common serotype associated with this disease. The “O” polysaccharide found on the surface LPS is unique and can be specifically detected with monoclonal antibodies.

ViroStat, Inc. has just released a new set of monoclonal antibodies that are specific to the O157 antigen. This set includes 7 well characterized monoclonal antibodies for use in ELISA, IFA and other rapid test formats.
