YSI, a Xylem brand, to showcase premier lab and field sampling solutions for water and wastewater
CHICAGO, IL – Xylem’s YSI will feature their industry-leading lab and field sampling solutions at WEFTEC® 2015, offering a wide variety of instruments with technological advancements that facilitate the fastest, smartest way to measure important parameters in water and wastewater.
Xylem’s YSI brand will be exhibiting in booth # 1041 at WEFTEC 2015, September 28 – 30 in Chicago, IL.
The YSI ProSeries handheld meters provide extreme flexibility for the field, in a rugged, portable enclosure for spot checks of important parameters in the wastewater treatment process and in receiving waters. Typical wastewater parameters include dissolved oxygen, BOD, specific conductance, salinity, total dissolved solids (TDS), pH, ORP, ammonium (ammonia), nitrate, chloride, turbidity and temperature. ProSeries portable meters can also be used with lab-grade sensors for BOD, pH and ORP, making it a true lab and field solution.
The YSI multi-parameter ProDSS is a digital handheld with turbidity, optical dissolved oxygen (ODO), depth, and many other sensor options. It also incorporates smart sensor technology, universal ports, a color display and optional GPS.
The economical YSI EcoSense ODO200 optical probe is the first handheld instrument to deliver the highly accurate and extremely stable optical DO technology in the YSI EcoSense package.
“Whether measuring pH to determine chemical dosing, or to confirm online process monitoring data, YSI has always been known for our strong family of handheld meters, up and down the spectrum,” says Tim Grooms, Director of Marketing for YSI. “We have a comprehensive offering to spot check water quality parameters for the wastewater process. These are lab-quality instruments that are ruggedized, and built to withstand the abuse in the field. And we’re pretty proud of that.”
Rounding out the YSI instrumentation solutions for lab and field sampling are the MultiLab® and TruLab® lines, both convenient and reliable benchtop instruments that provide accurate and repeatable results, are easy to use and maintain, with auto-buffer recognition and automatic temperature compensation.
The YSI MultiLab is a digital line of multiparameter benchtop instruments for the measurement of pH, mV (ORP), DO/BOD, conductivity, and temperature. MultiLab instruments utilize intelligent digital sensors (IDS) that retain calibration status, even if unplugged. The MultiLab line features a self-stirring optical BOD probe for BOD determination, and an optional BNC adapter (4010-2 and 4010-3 only) for effective ion concentration measurement with ISEs, should that be a required parameter.
The TruLab line from YSI, on the other hand, is an analog line of benchtop instruments ideal for measuring pH, mV (ORP), effective ion concentration (ISEs) and temperature. TruLab provides a wide selection of pH electrodes, as well as 15 ISEs for 16 different parameters, including ammonia and nitrate for wastewater and chloride and fluoride ISEs for drinking water applications.
