Zwick USA Names New National Service Manager

KENNESAW, Ga.–Zwick USA, a subsidiary of Zwick/Roell AG, a leading global supplier of static and dynamic materials test equipment to the automotive, metals, plastics aerospace and medical industries, has expanded its North American service team.

The expansion of the field service team, including the addition of National Service Manager Chip Hayward and two service engineers, is evidence of Zwick USA’s commitment to keeping customers operational and providing high caliber support, according to Bill Becker Managing Director of Zwick USA.

Hayward is a 20-year veteran of field service engineering with a background in digital and analog printing systems. As a Technical Product Manager for Heidelberg USA he launched and supported the Nexpress Digital Printing System, a game-changing platform for the printing industry.

Hayward supported the Nexpress product under a joint venture between Kodak & Heidelberg. He later joined Kodak as a national specialist for the product before transitioning into a Service Manager role in the Southeast US where he managed 34 field engineers across 7 states.

“Many of the customers whom my teams have supported through the years require high levels of uptime and this means applying strong project management skills, and on-the-fly problem solving,” Hayward said of his expertise in managing field service teams.

The hiring of a North American Service Manager, as well as two more Field Service Engineers, this year, in combination with additional Field Service Engineer positions planned for next year, confirm Zwick’s commitment to enhancing service and customer delight, he said.

New Field Service Engineers include Georg Jung – Senior Service Engineer – who joins Zwick USA from Zwick/Roell headquarters in Ulm, Germany and Pawan Nain – Field Service Engineer from Zwick India.

Jung has been with Zwick for 12 years and has held positions in manufacturing as well as field service. He will be based at Zwick USA in Kennesaw. His depth of expertise in software and controllers and a strong aptitude for electronics makes him an exceptional asset in supporting challenging customer applications, Hayward said of Jung’s experience.

Nain relocated to Toronto, Canada from Zwick’s India operations. He has been with Zwick for over 5 years and is fully-trained on the product suite. His ability to provide rapid diagnosis and his aptitude for working with hardware and software support make him an excellent addition to our staff, Hayward said of Nain’s skills.

“We are building a robust team of service professionals to accommodate the needs of our growing customer base and to place these professionals in closer proximity to our customers,” Hayward said.
