Earlier this month, the Bulgarian government announced that it will establish a food safety agency to oversee the country’s food chain, including agriculture and food processing. To be part of the Agriculture Ministry, the agency will be based on the European Food Safety Authority’s model. The agency will also include a Risk Assessment Center.
