PerkinElmer and Rigaku Collaborate
By adding benchtop XRFs, PerkinElmer can offer customers a wider range of atomic spectroscopy systems for applications in geochemical exploration, quality control of finished goods, and forensics, among other markets. This agreement is a further extension of PerkinElmer’s strategy to utilize partnerships to grow its instrument offerings for industrial and environmental markets.
Waltham, MA 6/11/09—PerkinElmer has announced a comarketing agreement with Rigaku Americas, a supplier of X-ray spectrometry, X-ray diffraction and X-ray optics. Under the agreement, the companies will share information and provide a single point of contact for PerkinElmer’s atomic spectroscopy solutions, which include atomic absorption spectrometers, ICP-OES (Inductively Coupled Plasma–Optical Emission Spectroscopy), ICP-MS and Rigaku Americas’ XRF (X-Ray Fluorescence) instruments. “Jointly, we can establish an infrastructure that enables a more profound understanding of market trends, so that we may anticipate instrumentation and application requirements and be first to market with complete solutions,” commented Wes Hardenburg, CEO of Rigaku Americas.
