Among the services GGA provides are the development of applications in data management, visualization and analysis for pharmaceutical, biotechnology and materials science companies. The company also develops open-source organic chemistry software. GGA employs 400 people at its facility in St. Petersburg, Russia.
Newtown, PA 6/6/14—GGA Software Services, a supplier of scientific-informatics services, has been acquired by EPAM Systems, a publicly held provider of product-development and software-engineering solutions, for cash and $10 million in stock. “Not only are we very excited about the significant growth opportunity in the Life Sciences and Healthcare industry verticals, we also see tremendous potential in combining EPAM’s traditionally recognized strengths with GGA’s algorithm development, mathematical modeling and sophisticated content database development capabilities,” stated EPAM President and CEO Arkadiy Dobkin.
