Aliso Viejo, CA 4/1/15—Ambry Genetics, a clinical genetics testing lab, has acquired Progeny Software, a provider of genotype management and analysis software, and LIMS systems, for an undisclosed amount. “We were starting to build tools like this internally, but then I met Michael Brammer and within 24 hours we had an agreement. I realized how much further ahead they were, ahead of everyone else,” commented Ambry CEO Charles Dunlop. Mr. Brammer will remain CEO of Progeny, which operates as a subsidiary of Ambry.
