St. Louis, MO 10/12/16—Clinical genomics analysis firm PierianDx has acquired Tute Genomics, a provider of genomics software, for an undisclosed amount. PierianDx will combine its Clinical Genomicist Workspace (CGW) software platform for somatic cancer with Tute’s constitutional and exome testing platform. “The enhanced platform will provide labs with a single clinical solution to support a comprehensive range of molecular testing for personalized medicine,” commented PierianDx CEO Ted Briscoe. Tute CEO Reid Robison will join the PierianDx Board. The platforms will be fully integrated in spring 2017 as CGW 6.0.

According to its website, following the acquisition, PierianDx now has more than 60 employees. Both companies provide software for NGS variant annotation, interpretation and reporting. PierianDx’s CGW is a complete workflow solution designed specifically for clinical labs.
