10X Signs Agreements with Agilent, Illumina and QIAGEN
10X’s latest system, Chromium, and kits are designed for use with Illumina and QIAGEN systems. By partitioning and barcoding DNA or cells, the technology provides long-range genomics information, which benefits researchers requiring phasing, structural variant analysis, de novo genome assembly and remapping of difficult regions, according to Illumina.
Orlando, FL 2/9/16; San Diego, CA 2/10/16; Santa Clara and Pleasanton, CA 2/11/16 —10X Genomics, the provider of a molecular barcoding platform for NGS, has signed agreements with three instrument firms to utilize its technology as part of their NGS product lines. Illumina and 10X entered into a comarketing agreement for sequencing solutions. QIAGEN and 10X announced a comarketing and codevelopment collaboration covering sample preparation and QIAGEN’s sequencer. Agilent Technologies and 10X will collaborate to create products based on Agilent’s SureSelect target-enrichment technology for use with the 10X system.
