Carlsbad, CA 3/21/13—Active Motif, a provider of epigenetics-based research tools to analyze nuclear function, has acquired SwitchGear Genomics for an undisclosed amount. SwitchGear Genomics supplies research products for studying the human genome’s regulatory elements. “SwitchGear Genomics has a unique combination of expertise in computational regulatory element identification, experimental validation and data analysis that offers the scientist new and innovative high-throughput tools for studying regulatory element function across the genome,” commented Active Motif CEO Joe Fernandez.
