Sensorex launched the SAM-1 Smart Aqua Meter in March, which measures and records pH, ORP or conductivity values. The SAM-1 plugs into the headphone jack of a smartphone or tablet and connects to Sensorex sensors.

In April, Mettler-Toledo introduced version 2 of the SevenExcellence Series of electrochemical benchtop instruments, which now include DO measurements.

In June, Mettler-Toledo added titration to the list of instruments that uses its LabX software platform, a centrally managed software system that provides a single uniform operator interface and one database.

GE Power & Water launched in April the Sievers M9 TOC Analyzer, which can measure conductivity in grab-sample or autosampler modes. It produces results in two minutes and is available in portable, online or lab versions.

Metrohm released in May the Optrode optical sensor for titration. It features eight different wavelengths.
