Earlier in the month, IDT purchased MBiotech, a South Korean company that has distributed IDT products for over 10 years. MBiotech also distributes other companies’ products, which it will continue to do. “MBiotech’s local language website, efficient operations and extensive distributor base make it a valuable asset,” stated IDT Founder and CEO Dr. Joseph A. Walder. IDT also purchased oligonucleotide synthesis services firm ValueGene. Based in San Diego, California, ValueGene provides custom DNA and RNA oligo synthesis products, including PAGE and HPLC purification and modification services.
