VWR Buys Single-Use Firm

According to VWR’s first quarter conference call, it expects to spend approximately $75 million on acquisitions this year. VWR has identified single-use solutions as a focus area for investments.

Radnor, PA 6/2/16—Lab product, service and solutions company VWR has acquired Netherlands-based JM Separations, a provider of single-use fluid handling and separation technology, including single-use bag systems, and custom solutions for media/buffer preparation, cell harvesting, and for clarification, concentration and chromatographic processes. Financial details were not disclosed.“The acquisition will broaden VWR’s single-use product and service offering for our pharmaceutical and biotech customers,” stated VWR President and CEO Manuel Brocke-Benz.
