GeneGo and OmicSoft integrated their respective MetaCore pathway analysis platform and Array Studio.
Accelrys’s fiscal 2009 revenues for the year ended March 31 rose 1.6% to $81.0 million. Operating loss decreased from $855,000 in the previous year to $319,000 (see IBO 6/15/09). US sales rose 0.5%, European sales fell 1.6% and Asia-Pacific sales grew 8.1% to 48%, 28% and 24% of revenues, respectively.
In June, Accelrys named Scipio “Max” Carnecchia CEO and president. Most recently, he served as the president of Interwoven, a content-management solutions firm.

Contur Software introduced iLabber, an electronic laboratory notebook (ELN) based on its ConturELN that is available as an online service for $60 per month for users at commercial organizations. Academic organizations pay half of that. ConturELN is free for single researchers and research groups with a maximum of 15 users.
Hach released the Hach WIMS (Water Information Management Solution) 7.0, featuring the BOD (Biochemical Oxygen Demand) Manager for use with Hach’s meters.
In May, PREMIER Biosoftware International released the Enterprise Edition of SimGlycan, its glycan and glycopeptide MS/MS data analysis tool.
Advanced Chemistry Development launched ACD/IntelliTarget for target analysis of LC/MS and GC/MS data sets.
Pharsight introduced the Phoenix WinNonlin 6.0 for pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic modeling and noncompartmental analysis; Phoenix Connect for integration with third-party analysis and modeling tools; and Pharsight Knowledgebase Server 4.0.
In June, Agilent launched the Kalabie ELN 4.0, featuring a new Smart Import function, Dynamic Fields and Forms, and integration with Agilent’s OpenLAB ECM.
