Advanced Chemistry Development released the ACD/NMR Workbook with NMRSync Technology, which reduces the time required to interpret and assign 1D and 2D NMR data. It is available with ACD/Labs Version 12.

In May, Varian introduced the Discovery MR901 pre-clinical 7T magnetic resonance imaging system, featuring Varian’s small-bore imaging technology and a clinical front end from GE Healthcare.

In June, Bruker launched the Avance 1000 NMR spectrometer, which incorporates a 23.5T standard-bore (54 mm) superconducting NMR magnet. The complete system is priced at €11.7 million, or approximately $16 million.

Sales/Orders of Note

In July, Bruker announced its first order for the ELEXSYS E780 system, a mm-wave 263 GHz Electron Paramagnetic Resonance (EPR) spectrometer, from the Helmholtz-Zentrum for solar energy and photovoltaic research. The order is worth $2.2 million and represents the start of a collaboration between Bruker and the Center on EPR probe development for electrical detection.
