Denator announced a two-year collaboration with the Maastricht MultiModal Molecular Imaging Institute of Maastricht University, the Netherlands, for the development and evaluation of innovative sample stabilization approaches for clinical applications.

PE Hub reported in April that OpenGate Capital plans to shut down Hamilton Scientific (see IBO 10/31/12), which will be liquidated. In July, Hamilton Laboratory Solutions acquired the assets of Hamilton’s furniture and fume hood business.

In May, Saint-Gobain acquired ZenPure, a filtration product company mainly serving the life sciences sector.

3D Systems entered into a reseller agreement with Thermo Fisher Scientific, which will offer its Cube and CubePro 3D printers, Sense 3D scanners and Touch software for 3D design and printing for educators.

MO BIO Laboratories released the WeLLevator Pipette Guide for consistent and fatigue-free extraction of liquids from 96-well plates when using a multichannel pipette.

Syrris introduced the Atlas Nanoparticle System for the automated synthesis of quantum dots, with continuous operation for up to 72 hours.

Peak Scientific introduced the Precision Zero Air 30L gas generator for GC.

In July, JULABO launched the CORIO series of refrigerated and heating circulators, featuring greater cooling capacity.
