Lauda-Königshofen/Burgwedel, Germany 12/17/18— LAUDA DR. R. WOBSER, a maker of temperature-control systems, has purchased GFL Gesellschaft für Labortechnik. A manufacturer of lab equipment, including water baths, incubators and shakers, GFL has 50 employees. The purchase will bring LAUDA’s annual sales to €90 million ($101 million at €0.89 = $1) and its headcount to 500. “With the devices from GFL, we are consistently developing our product range further and strengthening our portfolio in the field of laboratory technology,” stated LAUDA President and CEO Gunther Wobser.

The acquisition expands LAUDA’s lab equipment offerings, adding incubators and shakers. LAUDA provides temperature-control solutions and lab products for industrial and laboratory markets, including thermostats, chillers and water baths. LAUDA Scientific supplies materials characterization system, such as viscometers.
