In December 2013, IROA Technologies introduced the IROA Biochemical Quantitation Series 100 and 200 kits and software for metabolite labeling.

Agilent Technologies released MassHunter Profinder, designed for batch processing of complex MS data.

In January, Microsaic Systems released the MiDas interface module, which allows simple connectivity of its 4000 MiD for online and offline analyses and features automated sampling, dilution and injection.

Waters expanded its server-based UNIFI Scientific Information System solutions of instruments and software to a total of eight, introducing the Glycan Application Solution with UNIFI, featuring an extensive N-glycan Glucose Unit reference database; the Forensic Toxicology Screening Application Solution with UNIFI, featuring minimal or no method development; and the Natural Products Application Solution with UNIFI, featuring a “Traditional Medicines” library.

In February, IonSens launched the DART-QS Source for rugged, direct sample analysis. It can be mounted on all Thermo Fisher Scientific ion trap MS products and utilizes 12-sample QuickStrip Sample Cards.

Biognosys released the PlasmaDeepDive MRM Panel, for the quantification of 100 human plasma proteins in a single LC-MRM measurement by combining 100 peptide MRM assays in one scheduled MRM method.

In March, Shimadzu Scientific Instruments introduced the Nexera Method Scouting System for improved HPLC/UHPLC method development. It can investigate up to 96 combinations of mobile phases, gradients and columns.

Bruker released the autoflex speed MALDI-TOF(/TOF) MS, featuring a 2 KHz smartbeam-II laser, FAST-SRM mode and an expanded high-resolution mass range.

In March, 908 Devices introduced the M908, a handheld, 2 kg (4.4 lb), microscale ion trap High Pressure MS, specifically engineered for civilian uses, first responders and military teams. It features MS/MS capability, a multiphase detector, and trace-to-bulk detection and identification.
