Sage-N Research and Nonlinear Dynamics agreed to comarket their respective SORCERER proteomics platform and Progeneis LC/MS label-free quantification software.

In May, Siemens Healthcare Diagnostics entered into a comarketing agreement for Bruker’s MALDI Biotyper MALDI-TOF MS system for microbial identification.

In June, Prosolia named GSG Meß- und Analysengeräte a distributor for its Omni Spray DESI technology and consumables in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

Waters announced in June a comarketing and reselling agreement for PREMIER Biosoft International’s SimLipid informatics platform.

AB SCIEX partnered with Phytronix Technologies to integrate their respective TripleTOF 5600 System and LDTD (Laser Diode Thermal Desorption) ion source.

Product Introductions

BioMérieux launched a CE-marked version of the VITEK MALDI-TOF MS system for bacterial identification, which was developed with Shimadzu. Using Myla middleware, the system can be integrated with the VITEK Identification and Antibiotic Susceptibility Testing system. An FDA 510(k) clearance request will be filed later this year.

In May, Advion BioSystems and AB SCIEX introduced the LESA (Liquid Extraction Surface Analysis) Clarity, an extension of the LESA platform that adds a real-time camera system for viewing solvent droplet interaction and that integrates with AB SCIEX’s Analyst software.

AB SCIEX announced a new Performance Qualification solution for its MS systems and a wide range of LC front-end systems. The company also expanded its service to support the Shimadzu LC-30A Nexera and Agilent 1260 Infinity systems.

To form a MS workflow solution for food safety, AB SCIEX released the iDQuant Standards Kit for Pesticide Analysis, iMethod Test for Pesticide Analysis and a new version of Cliquid Software for Routine Analysis.

AB SCIEX released a new software that enables scientists to link Cliquid Software to LIMS.

In June, Waters launched its Regulated Bioanalysis System Solution, an LC/MS/MS system that combines the Oasis and Ostro sample preparation chemistries, ACQUITY UPLC I-Class System, Xevo TQ-S and UNIFI Scientific Information Management System.

Thermo Fisher Scientific released the Thermo Scientific PEPotec SRM (single reaction monitoring), a custom peptide library designed for medium- to high-throughput development of SRM assays.

Sales/Orders of Note

Morpho Detection announced in June the sale of more than 3,000 units and $100 million of its Itemiser DX, an ion mobility spectrometry–based system for trace explosives detection. The system was introduced in 2009.
