ArcherDX announced a partnership with BioChain to screen BioChain’s tumor FFPE samples that will be released under the CancerSeq Plus brand.

Product Introductions

In August, Allele Biotechnology & Pharmaceuticals released Nano-Antibodies, also known as single domain antibodies, camelid antibodies and VHH antibodies, that were isolated from llamas against bFGF, P16, VEGF and TNFa.

In September, Thermo Fisher Scientific introduced the Gibco ExpiCHO Expression System, a fully redesigned transient expression system, which can achieve protein yields of up to 3 g/L.

Thermo Fisher Scientific released the GIBCO CTS Immune Cell SR for immune cell culture. It can replace human serum and fetal bovine serum. It is T cell–qualified and classified as an FDA Class 1 IVD medical device.

Sales/Orders of Note

Affymetrix announced in September its selection as the genotyping supplier by China’s Green Super Rice project, which is part of an effort to develop at least 15 new rice varieties for small-hold farmers.
