In May, Agilent Technologies agreed to distribute Cartagenia’s cloud-based software for CNV analysis, which allows Agilent to sell usage-priced annual licenses to the Bench Lab CNV module to small- and medium-sized cytogenetics labs.
In June, PerkinElmer agreed to exclusively commercialize and sell PET-x-ray and 3-D CT imaging systems developed by, or in conjunction with, Sofie Biosciences.
Quanterix named Kevin Hrusovsky, former president of PerkinElmer Life Sciences & Technology, as executive chairman.
BioNano Genomics disclosed in a June SEC filing a $5 million debt investment.

In July, Royal Philips agreed to acquire Unisensor, a supplier of systems for the optical analysis of fluids in research and diagnostic applications. The acquisition will strengthen Philips’s patient-sample–analysis capabilities.

Innopsys introduced in February the InnoScan 910 microarray scanner.
Cubresa launched in April a compact, affordable SPECT scanner for attachment to small-animal CT systems.
In May, BioScale released a six-plate–cartridge format for the ViBE, enabling larger protein-analysis studies.
Meso Scale Discovery introduced S-PLEX assays, which have detection limits below 1 fg/mL, for use on its instrumentation. The assays are initially available as a development service, with kits available in the near future.
In June, Agena Bioscience released the research-use–only Hemo ID—Blood Group Genotyping Panel for blood-group genotyping for its MassARRAY System.
Affymetrix and BioDiscovery released the Nexus Copy Number for Affymetrix software for data generated by Affymetrix’s genetic platforms in cancer research.
PerkinElmer and Sofie Bioscience introduced the benchtop G8 PET/CT Small Animal Imaging System.
Oxford Gene Technologies launched the CytoSure Embryo Screen Array for preimplantation genetic screening, consisting of eight arrays of 60,000 spots.
PerkinElmer launched in July the LabChip GX Touch and GXII Touch automated electrophoresis systems.
ProteinSimple launched the 66–440 kDa Master Kit for analysis of large proteins using the Wes, Sally Sue and Peggy Sue systems.
