Chromatide announced further investments by Enterprise Ventures and Alliance Fund Managers.

GE Healthcare is collaborating with Celestial Biologicals to set up India’s first GMP-compliant fully integrated chromatography-based plasma fractionation facility. The facility is based in Ahmedabad.

Agilent is providing technical support for the development of Aurora SFC Systems’ Fusion A5, which converts HPLC systems into superfluid chromatography systems.

Product Introductions

GE Healthcare introduced 96-well screening plates for PreDictor anion and cation exchange chromatography, featuring multiple media in the same plate, plates for the determination of adsorption isotherms and Assist software.

Healex announced that its ChemLaunch remote instrument access-and-control module for Agilent’s ChemStation software is now fully supported by Agilent.

Phenomenex introduced the Lux Amylose-2 chiral column, which incorporates an amylose backbone and a unique halogenated derivative.

Agilent introduced the Agilent 1200 Series HPLC-Chip II, featuring greater performance lifetime.

Agilent released the Phosphochip, its 12th chip for use with its HPLC-Chip/MS interface. Codeveloped by Professor Albert J.R. Heck’s group at Utrecht University, the Phosphochip combines enrichment and analysis of phosphopeptides into a single step.

Malvern Instruments launched a photodiode array detector for Viscotek’s TDAmax gel permeation chromatography (GPC)/size exclusive chromatography system.

Pall Life Sciences introduced the Pall Q and S HyperCel ion exchange sorbents for laboratory and process-scale use. The sorbents are designed for the processing of recombinant proteins, monoclonal antibodies, plasma derivatives and other proteins from various feedstock.

LCTech GmbH launched the GPC Quattro system, which runs four columns in parallel with either the same or four different methods and has a maximum operating pressure of 1000 psi.

PerkinElmer and Waters developed an interface for PerkinElmer’s Clarus GCs and TurboMatrix Headspace Samplers and Waters’s Empower 2 Chromatography Software networked installations. It will be available in June.

Waters released the Empower 2 Business Intelligent Manager, a web-based dashboard software for analysis of chromatography performance data.

Waters expanded the Empower Systems Qualification Tool to support the Agilent 1100 and 1200 Series HPLC Systems in labs that have standardized on Waters Empower for enterprise chromatography data management.

Metrohm AG introduced a fully automated combustion ion chromatography system.
