Kaneka launched the KanCapA protein A chromatography resin in fall 2012.

Thermo Fisher Scientific and Mettler-Toledo announced a joint marketing initiative for the Titration/Ion Chromatography (IC) system for water analysis. It features a single software package that integrates Mettler’s Excellence titrator with liquid handler and two Thermo IC systems.

Thermo Fisher Scientific released the Thermo Scientific Acclaim Trinity Q1 HPLC column for the trace analysis of the herbicides diquat and paraquat in plants. It contains a Nanopolymer Silica Hybrid technology.

Thermo Fisher Scientific launched the Thermo Scientific Dionex UltiMate 3000 electrochemical detector.

Thermo Fisher Scientific released the Thermo Scientific Syncronis HPLC column in a 3.5 µm particle size.

In January, Thermo Fisher Scientific introduced five new phases for its Thermo Scientific Accucore solid core HPLC columns: Polar Premium, Phenyl-X, C30, Urea-HILIC and 150-Amide-HILIC.

Agilent introduced in November 2012 the 1260 and 1290 Infinity Evaporative Light Scattering Detectors, featuring higher sensitivity.

In December 2012, Agilent released the latest version of its Intelligent System Emulation Technology, which allows emulation of the Waters Alliance LC systems.

Agilent launched the OpenLAB Data Store with Lab Applications for secure data storage for smaller labs.

Millipore introduced the Eshmuno CPX media, a strong cation exchanger optimized for intermediate and polishing purification of monoclonal antibodies.

Waters announced in November 2012 the availability of Spark Holland’s online solid phase extraction technology with its ACQUITY UPLC. It is based on a special version of the technology made available exclusively to Waters.

Shimadzu launched in November 2012 the Nexera X2 UHPLC Series, featuring i-PDeA for enhanced peak identification, and the SPD-M30A photodiode array detector for higher spectral resolution.
