Liquid Chromatography: Product Introductions
Waters launched the SystemQT qualification tool, offering automated system-level quantification for Waters HPLC systems in order to reduce compliance test time. ESA Biosciences launched its Coulochem III ECD system with a Boron Doped Diamond electrode for the efficient analysis of sulfur-containing compounds. Varian launched its Pursuit family of Fast LC columns with the release of the Pursuit XRs Ultra 2.8 and Pursuit UPS 2.4 columns. JASCO introduced the 3195CD circular dichroism (CD) chiral detector for HPLC, featuring a sampling rate of 50 data points per second for both CD and UV signals. Phenomenex introduced a new line of Luna PFP(2) (pentafluorophenyl propyl) columns, available packed with 3 or 5 µm particles. Phenomenex released the Clarity Oligo-RP columns for reversed phase purification of oligonucleotides with balanced hydrophobicity and polar selectivity. Phenomenex released a 3 µm Jupiter 300 C18 HPLC column. Eksigent introduced the NanoLC-Ultra for gradient precision at pressures of up to 10,000 psi. It is especially well suited for separation of complex peptide mixtures and is available in several configurations. Thermo Fisher Scientific announced that its Hypersil GOLD columns are now available in a phenyl phase and that its Hypersil GOLD C8 and CN phases are now available in 1.9 µm particle sizes.
