Product Introductions

In June, TA Instruments, a division of Waters, launched the ElectroForce 3310, a 1,000 N test instrument, featuring the ability to add a torsion actuator.

In August, TA Instruments released the Discovery TGA 5500, TGA 550 and TGA55 line of thermogravimetric analyzers, featuring a new system design. They feature the Tru-Mass balance system for high sensitivity and accurate real time weight data, as well as new TRIOS software.

Micromeritics introduced in June the NanoPlus HD zeta potential and nano-particle size analyzer. Features include the ability to generate customized 3-D plots and improved sensitivity.

In July, Fluid Imaging Technologies launched the FlowCam ALH automated liquid handling system for its FlowCam 8000 Series particle imaging and analysis system. The ALH processes up to 96 samples per run unattended.

Chandler Engineering, part of AMETEK, introduced in July the Chandler Engineering Model 5600-AUTO Shear History Simulator for simplifying the process of preparing and loading water-based fracturing fluids into rotational viscometers. It features a maximum of 2,000 psi operating pressure at ambient temperatures.

PAC, a Roper Technologies firm, introduced in August the OptiFZP freezing point lab analyzer, which features a simplified user interface and the ability to produce accurate results up to -100°C in under 15 minutes.

In September, Anton Paar expanded its SVM Series of Stabinger viscometers with the launch of the SVM 2001 and SVM 4001. The SVM 4001 allows determination of viscosity and density at two different temperatures simultaneously. The SVM 2001 provides constant temperature viscosity determination between 15°C and 100°C.
