Nano-photonics firm Moxtek and Philips Research are collaborating to develop a wire-grid glass microarray chip for improved accuracy that would not require a washing step and would perform hybridization and detection in parallel.
Under an OEM agreement, InforSense is providing data analysis and visualization functionality for febit’s Geniom flexible microarray platform.

Product Introductions
Illumina introduced the HumanOmni1-Quad BeadChip for DNA analysis, featuring over four million data points, including content derived from the 1,000 Genomes Project. It supports the simultaneous genotyping of four samples.
Illumina released the GoldenGate Indexing Assay, a high-throughput genotyping solution for multisample indexing. The plexity ranges include 96-plex, 192-plex and 384-plex.
Roche NimbleGen introduced in June the NimbleGen MS 200 Microarray Scanner for acquiring two-color fluorescent array image data down to 2 µm pixel resolution. It features a slide magazine for automated loading of up to 48 microarrays.
In June, febit launched a biochip based on the whole mouse genome assembly that was published in May.
Gentel Biosciences introduced the APIX Chromogenic Protein Array System, composed of a scanner, surface chemistry substrates and detection reagents.
CapitalBio and VigeneTech released a fully integrated microarray platform for diagnostic and high-throughput DNA, protein, antibody and miRNA array applications, featuring their respective LuxScan scanner and MicroVigene image analysis suit.
