Company Announcements
Resolution Spectral Systems launched the compact ZOOM Spectra Stationary-Wave Integrated Fourier Transform spectrometer, with a wavelength range of 630–1070 nm and resolution of 0.005 nm. It requires no calibration.
Prior Scientific introduced the LumaSpec 800 compact microscope illumination spectrometer, which provides quantitative spectra data for 350–800 nm with 1.5 nm resolution for virtually any microscopy light source. It uses an illumination target in a 3 x 1 in glass slide format.
Ocean Optics, a Halma company, introduced the Apex 785 Raman spectrometer, a modular, compact spectrometer designed for florescence and Raman spectroscopy, which uses technology licensed from Tornado Spectral Systems. It delivers faster measurements with less excitation requirements. It is the first product in the company’s new Elite Series.
In February, Ocean Optics expanded the Elite Series with the release of the Ventana line high-throughput spectrometers, consisting of three preconfigured models: the 532 nm and 785 nm Raman models and the visible to NIR model for general purpose fluorescence applications.
B&W Tek introduced the i-Raman Plus portable spectrometer, which features configurations for measurements up to 4000 cm-1.
Advantest introduced the TAS7500SU terahertz spectroscopy system for the analysis range of 0.5–7.0 THz, the TAS500SL for the 30 GHz to 2 THz band of the spectrum, and a transmittance polarization analysis module.
AstraNet Systems launched the AstraGene II with a spectral bandlength of less than 2 nm.
HORIBA Scientific released the Delta Series time-correlated single photon counting fluorescence lifetime spectroscopy systems, featuring sources for up to 100 MHz operation, F-Link plug-and-play architecture and total lifetime measurements as short as 1 ms. The Series includes the simple-to-use DeltaPro, priced at $30,000, and the fully modular DeltaFlex system, with interchangeable pulsed and laser diode and LED light sources.
In February, Princeton Instruments introduced a new microscope interface designed for use with its aberration-free IsoPlane imaging spectrographs. It attaches to UDP ports on select Olympus, Nikon and Zeiss inverted microscopes.
