CEM formed a Japanese subsidiary with headquarters in Tokyo and an office in Osaka. The offices will begin operation this fall with approximately 10 employees.

Bayer Technology Services named Dr. Joachim Heck as managing director of Ehrfeld Mikrotechnik BTS GmbH in March. He was formerly unit manager and a member of the management team at Resources Technology Management GmbH.

Mettler-Toledo introduced the EasyMax 102, a semiautomated chemical synthesis reactor system, which features a built-in, solid state thermostat covering a wide temperature range without a cryostat.
