Radnor, PA 1/12/17—VWR, a provider of product and services solutions for lab and production customers, has acquired SEASTAR CHEMICALS for an undisclosed amount. Canadian-based SEASTAR CHEMICALS provides high-purity reagents for the research, lab and microelectronics industries, in particular ultrapure acid and base products for trace-element detection in environmental, food and semiconductor testing. “SEASTAR’s leading products paired with their dedication to safety, quality, and innovation make them a strong fit for VWR,” stated VWR President and CEO Manuel Brocke-Benz.

SEASTAR CHEMICALS was acquired from SGS, which inherited the firm when it bought its parent company, AXYS Group, in October 2016.
