Milford, MA 7/24/08—Waters has acquired the net assets of VTI for an undisclosed price. VTI is a manufacturer of sorption analysis and thermogravimetic analysis instruments, including sorption analysis products designed for water and organic vapor sorption studies of pharmaceuticals and related materials. VTI and its founder, Dr. Augie Venero, will join Waters’ TA Instruments Divison. “The addition of VTI further strengthens TA Instruments’ industry-leading position in thermal analysis while expanding TA Instruments’ exposure into the rapidly-growing pharmaceutical and energy markets,” stated TA Instruments President Terry Kelly.
