Agilent Technologies Upgrades EZChrom Elite Chromatography Data System, Localizes for China, Japan Markets

SANTA CLARA, Calif.–Agilent Technologies Inc. (NYSE:A) today released the 3.3 revision of the EZChrom Elite chromatography data system. The software is now localized into Chinese and Japanese, features a single walk-up sample entry screen and offers updated workstation compliance. “We’re making the performance and convenience of EZChrom Elite available to a wider range of users by providing local language access,” said Linda Doherty, Agilent senior software marketing director. “Now, more customers in Asia can benefit from this powerful chromatography software.” EZChrom Elite performs data acquisition, processing, and control of gas and liquid chromatographs from more than 25 manufacturers. This enables labs to employ a unified computing strategy with the same user interface for a variety of instruments. The system is scalable from a single instrument through multi-user, multi-site enterprises operating hundreds of instruments. English, Chinese and Japanese versions are included on the same EZChrom Elite CD set, and localized components include base software user interface, Agilent LC drivers, Agilent GC drivers, installer, online help and installation guide. The new revision has updated drivers for the latest Agilent 7890 GC and the Agilent 1200 LC. The new EZChrom Elite’s single screen walk-up sample entry features easy-to-use sample setup and provides a simple overview of instrument status and run queue. For regulated environments, EZChrom Elite offers 21CFR part 11 compliance features. Now the lab doesn’t need a domain and the user doesn’t need to be a local administrator to use them. For large-scale operations, Agilent will soon release an Enterprise Migration Tool, enabling implementation of the new system without shutting down the labs. Instruments can be moved over gradually, and all configuration, project settings and audit trails will automatically move to the new enterprise. EZChrom Elite now also contains a full suite of calibration, diagnostics and early-maintenance feedback features that result in highly dependable operation, reduced downtime and advance notice of upcoming maintenance needs.
