GE Healthcare Unveils New Life Sciences Business

Chalfont St Giles, UK – GE Healthcare has announced the creation of GE Healthcare Life Sciences – a new business, involving the combination of two existing businesses – Protein Separations and Discovery Systems and is effective immediately.

By this move GE Healthcare confirms the company’s ongoing investment and commitment to the protein and life science market.

The new Life Sciences business is focused around five key segments: Bio Process, Protein Sciences, Discovery Sciences, Genomic Sciences, and Services.

The new global organisation is led by Peter Ehrenheim, President and CEO of GE Healthcare Life Sciences, who will now report directly to Joe Hogan, President and CEO of GE Healthcare. Ehrenheim who previously headed the company’s Protein Separations business is based in Uppsala, Sweden. Also effective of today, Dan Peters, President and CEO of Medical Diagnostics will now report directly to Joe Hogan, recognizing the importance of those two businesses to the vision of GE Healthcare.
