Hach Lange Acquires Danfoss Analytical

Loveland, CO and Sonderborg, Denmark -Hach Lange, a Danaher company, has acquired the Danfoss Analytical A/S, which sells online wastewater quality monitors, from Danfoss A/S. Financial details were unavailable. Products transferred include the Evita brand products, including dissolved oxygen systems, nutrient analyzers, nitrate analyzers and turbidity/suspended solids systems, as well as the INSITU-PRO Service Packages and USC Universal Signal Controllers. The products will be sold under the Hach Evita brand name.

According to Danfoss’s annual report, Danfoss Analytical had 2004 sales of DKK 68 million ($12.5 million) and at year end, employed 77 people. Danfoss Analytical claims they are the largest suppliers of online dissolved oxygen meters and the second largest supplier of nutrient meters. [More?]

Fisher Scientific Acquires Clinical Services Business

Hampton, NH and San Francisco, CA 6/9/05-Fisher Scientific International has signed a definitive agreement to acquire McKesson BioServices for approximately $60 million in cash. McKesson BioServices, a unit of healthcare services and information technology company McKesson, offers biological and clinical supply management services for preclinical through Phase IV clinical studies. It had 2004 net sales revenues of $50 million. The transaction is scheduled to close in the third quarter.
