NEWARK, Calif., May 22 — Setaram Inc., a leading manufacturer and supplier of high performance thermal analyzers, calorimeters, gas sorption and high pressure mass spectroscopy instruments for challenging and demanding applications is pleased to announce the appointment of Bruce Jamieson as CEO and Vice President. This appointment follows the recent acquisition of Hy-Energy LLC (Newark, CA), a manufacturer of gas sorption scientific instruments for the ever-expanding field of clean renewable energy research. The two companies, Setaram Inc. and its subsidiary Hy-Energy, will be operated under the same organization, managed by Mr. Jamieson. Bruce will be succeeding Gary Etherington, recently appointed VP, Sales and Marketing Director at Setaram Instrumentation (France). Mr. Jamieson has over 20 years of experience in the life sciences and laboratory automation industries including liquid handling instruments, reagents and consumables. Most recently, he was Vice President, Sales and Services at Labcyte, the leader in low-volume liquid transfers for the life sciences. Previously, he held Vice President, North American and Asia Pacific Sales at Argonaut Technologies and prior to Argonaut, Mr. Jamieson served in various business development, sales and project management roles at Apogent/Robbins Scientific, Zymark, Unisyn Technologies, and Sagian. Mr. Jamieson has a B.S. in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from the University of Delaware.
