Los Angeles, CA — Teledyne Technologies has purchased Tekmar-Dohrmann (Tekmar Company) from Emerson Electronic. Tekmar-Dohrmann, a manufacturer of gas chromatography introduction systems and automated total organic carbon analyzers, posted revenues of $22.5 million for the fiscal year ended September 2002. Under the new name Teledyne Tekmar Company, Tekmar-Dohrmann joins Teledyne Instruments, part of Teledyne Technologies’

Electronics and Communications unit. Teledyne Technologies Chairman, President and CEO Robert Mehrabian commented, “Tekmar’s products expand Teledyne’s existing offerings in environmental monitoring and provide entry into the laboratory water quality testing market.” Tekmar is expected to be accretive to Teledyne’s earnings in 2003.
