GE Sells CodeLink Array Business
GE disclosed its plans to sell the product line last year (see IBO 12/31/06). According to press reports, Applied Microarrays was founded by Alastair Malcolm, a former GE employee, who also worked with the product line at Motorola.
Tempe, AZ 5/1/07—GE Healthcare has sold its prearrayed Codelink microarray product line to Applied Microarrays, according to its website. Based at Arizona State University, Applied Microarrays also offers contract manufacturing of custom arrays. GE Healthcare continues to provide activated slides and related reagents for microarrays.
