Agilent licensed its SureFISH probes for use with BioDiscovery’s Nexus software for cytogenetic microarrays.

Tecan and JPT Peptide Technologies are collaborating to co-promote JPT’s peptide arrays and profiling capabilities with Tecan’s microarray handling devices.

Arrayjet opened an office in Cambridge, Massachusetts, in October 2012, according to Mass High Tech.

Product Introductions

Innopsys introduced the Innoscan 710 InfraRed fluorescence microarray scanner, which is designed for protein arrays dyed with IR markers.

Illumina released in October 2012 the customizable Infinium HumanCore and HumanCoreExome BeadChip products for cost effective, large-scale genotyping and screening studies. They feature genome-wide tag SNPs and additional high value markers.

InDevR launched custom arrays, featuring flexible array placement and the printing of capture agents and up to 850 unique oligos per array.

Affymetrix introduced in November 2012 Axiom Biobank Arrays for affordably genotyping large sample collections, which are available in both catalog and custom versions and feature over 600,000 variants and the ability for customers to add up to 50,000 of their own variants.

Affymetrix launched Axiom miRNA Target Site Genotyping Arrays, a high density genotyping tool for genome-wide evaluation of miRNA target sites that interrogates 238,000 SNPs and indels.

Kinexus Bioinformatics released its first Kinex antibody microarray kit, featuring the latest-generation KAM-850 chip, which has more than 330 phosphosite- and 540 pan-specific antibody probes.
