Waters announced in March that the University of California San Diego School of Medicine’s Center for Advanced Laboratory Medicine joined its Centers of Innovation Program.
In April, SCIEX announced a collaboration with CRO QPS Holdings to advance the LBA (Ligand Binding Assay)–LCMS workflow for routine biologics quantification. QPS will deploy SCIEX’s BioBA Solution.
Prosolia entered into a collaboration research agreement with the University of Florida Departments of Chemistry and Pathology to develop translational science applications for its flowprobe technology.
Agena Bioscience and Horizon Discovery signed a supply and distribution agreement to launch iPLEX reference standards for performance verification of oncology assays used on Agena’s MassARRAY System.
In April, Agilent Technologies and Monash University in Malaysia opened a joint research and training lab focused on proteomics, metabolomics and multi-omics research in life sciences. Among the systems Agilent provided are the 1290 UHPLC and 6550 Q-TOF MS.

Genedata launched Genedata Expressionist 10.0. New functionalities include quantification of intact proteins by UV, high-resolution protein analysis and batch processing.
Veritomyx released PeakInvestigator software services. The SAAS product can be embedded in the MS workflow or accessed for post processing analysis. The latest version extends the service to TOF, ion trap and Orbitrap MS.
Hiden Analytical introduced the HRP-20 QIC R&D Plus gas analyzer, which merges triple filter quadrupole MS technology and multistream gas/vapor flow control with CATLABS-PCS software.
In March, Gilson introduced the chip-based VERITY 1900 MS Detector, a single quadrupole MS.
In April, Agena Bioscience launched the CE-IVD marked MassARRAY Dx Lung Panel and Colon Panel, its first IVD tests launched in Europe.
Agena Bioscience introduced the iPLEX HS chemistry for highly sensitive, multiplexed detection of genetic variants in solid tumors.
Bruker introduced new products for its MALDI Biotyper: the disposable MBT Biotargets 96 for European clinical customers; the MBT Subtyping Module for fast detection of selected antibiotic-resistant strains in Baceroides fragiles and Staphylococcus aureus isolates; and the MBT STAR-BL for Beta-latamase.
Biognosys announced that SpectroDrive software for multiple reaction monitoring data processing now supports Agilent Technologies’ MS instruments.
