Yokogawa Electric expanded its distribution agreement for SICK process analytical instrumentation, making them available worldwide.

ABB announced it is working with system integrator Zenith Technology to develop and implement automation solutions for life science customers in China and India.

Hamilton announced in October 2012 the addition of Memosens sensors to its product offerings.

Modcon Systems named COO Jacob Belson CEO in November 2012.

In December 2012, Addtech Life Science acquired Norsk Analyse, which sells solutions for gas and liquid analysis, with customers mainly in the oil and gas and process industries. Norsk Analyse has annual sales of around NOK 120 million ($21 million) and 60 employees.

Symbion Systems announced that Thermo Fisher Scientific’s Informatics Business will distribute its software in conjunction with the GRAMS spectroscopy suite.

Sartorius Stedim Biotech entered into a marketing and distribution partnership in December 2012 for Umetrics chemometrics software for the pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical industries. Umetrics software will be sold under a private label and under both company’s brand names. Umetrics is an MKS Instruments company.

Endress+Hauser announced that in January it acquired its Indonesian sales partner, Grama Bazita.

Finesse Solutions renewed its five-year-old bilateral supply agreement with Thermo Fisher Scientific.

Hamilton introduced the Arc Hx series of sensors, featuring transmitter-free communication and mobile sensor monitoring.

Umetrics released SIMCA-online, an off-the-shelf solution for multivariate process monitoring for continuous and batch processes, featuring centralized analysis.

Symbion Systems released the Symbion-RTM Real Time Monitor process analytical software for continuous control, data analysis and monitoring of measurement systems. It features a single-layer “Flat” user interface.

Symbion Systems introduced Insight multivariate software for simplified chemometrics.

Mettler-Toledo launched the in-line InPro 5000i sensor for real-time dissolved carbon dioxide measurements in biofermentation processes.

Thermo Fisher Scientific introduced the Thermo Scientific IRIS 4800 mid-IR laser-based carbon monoxide analyzer, which uses difference frequency generation technology as part of a single-box solution.
