Cobalt is pleased to announce that it will be launching its new pharmaceutical materials verification product RapID at IFPAC in Baltimore this month. RapID is a revolutionary tool for raw materials verification that works through common packaging materials such as sacks (paper and plastic), glass and plastic bottles, tubs and multi-layer containers. Unlike other spectroscopic testing methods the spectrum from the packaging can be completely removed, using the SORS technique, making ID possible through many millimetres of coloured/opaque container wall. The benefit is a greatly enhanced throughput of testing with no expensive sampling or secondary testing.
