ESE, Inc. Awarded Rockwell Automation’s Qualified Process Solutions Provider Designation

Marshfield, WI – May 19, 2009 – ESE, Inc., the Engineering Solutions Experts, announced today that it has become a Rockwell Automation Qualified Process Solutions Provider Program company. The exclusive designation follows a lengthy review process by Rockwell Automation where a system integrator’s application and domain expertise is validated using a complex competency evaluation.

The Rockwell Automation Qualified Process Solutions Provider Program has recognized only 15 companies globally thus far, with a goal to have 100 process providers representing 10 industries. ESE earned early placement in the highly competitive Food and Beverage category. As an integrator of Rockwell Automation, ESE demonstrated multiple successes at the application level across many customers; repeatability is a key factor in being awarded this designation. ESE currently has installations in nearly every state in the USA using ESE process control solutions, such as the high speed Q5 Near Infrared Analyzer, integrated with Rockwell Automation technology.

“This designation is really an endorsement of ESE by Rockwell Automation,” comments Rob Swim, Global Program Manager. “It is one more level of security for their customers knowing their confidence can rest with ESE. Beyond the qualifications, we look for integrators that have industry domain expertise with demonstrated success, entrepreneurial drive, and agility, and that sums up ESE.”

Rockwell Automation’s integrator program has well over 2,500 participants. ESE, Inc. is one of only 80 companies globally who have attained the designation “Solution Provider” and one of 15 with the specific designation of a “Process” Solution Provider.

“Our team of process design and automation engineers is committed to providing best-in-class control systems,” stated Tom Walther, President of ESE, Inc. “Rockwell Automation is a key resource. For ESE customers nationwide, this new Process Solution Provider designation signifies a specific level of expertise and reliability that few integrators achieve. Our depth and range of experience in processing plants large and small has been validated by Rockwell Automation and that is likened to the gold seal in our industry.”

Since 1981, ESE has been designing and commissioning innovative plant automation systems by tightly integrating analytical instruments and control systems, such as those from Rockwell Automation, with their own sophisticated software. The integrated solution results in improved plant utilization, increased yields, better product quality, and faster delivery for their customers.

“In the food and beverage category, ESE stands out as a leader because of our ability to analyze liquids, solids, slurries, and powders and control the process, something not all integrators are capable of,” stated Walther.

As part of their ongoing commitment to the Qualified Process Solutions Provider Program, Rockwell Automation trains and qualifies process control integration companies who utilize the Rockwell automation platform along with their own control software. ESE will retain this designation for two years, at which time they will be reevaluated by Rockwell Automation based on the same rigorous qualifications.
